Silicone mold - lamb, small
Discover new possibilities for creating unique wax artworks with our latest collection of silicone moulds. Each mould is a practical tool for making candles and wax figures that will add a unique touch to your home or make a great gift idea.
Preparation of the mold
- Spray the inside with silicone spray - it will be easier to remove the finished candle from the mold.
- Then cut the appropriate length of the wick (it must be longer than the mold) and pull it through the center of the mold.
- The next step is to put the rubber bands on the mold. Finally, we stick a toothpick into the end of the wick and tighten it well. The thickness of the wick depends on the diameter of the candle.

Flooding the mold with wax
- Dissolve the wax in a pot (preferably an enamel one). Before pouring, the wax should Have the right temperature - about 60C. It should not be too cold or too hot.
- Pour the wax in a slow stream to reach all the recesses. The wax setting time depends on the size of the silicone mold.
Removing the candle from the mold
- Once the wax has solidified and is cold we pull off the rubber bands, open the mold and gently remove the candle.
- Then take out a toothpick and cut the wick at the base, while at the top of the candle we leave about 1 cm.
- The final step in finishing the candle is to “work” the bottom of the candle with a knife and the tip of the wick can be dipped in warm wax.

Recommendations for using the moulds:
Take precautions when making mould castings, bearing in mind that you are working with a hot substance.
To make it easier to remove the candle from the mould, it is recommended to spray it with silicone spray. The wick should be inserted into the mould before pouring, it should be slightly taut. Before pouring the wax into the mould, it should be tied with string or tied together with rubber bands. For candle making we recommend liquid wax heated to 50°C.
Silicone moulds can be used to make castings from a variety of raw materials:
- beeswax
- soy wax
- palm wax
- paraffin
- ceramic gypsum
