Apimondia – almost 130 years of tradition
The Apimondia International Congress is an event with a rich tradition, the origins of which date back to 1897, when the first such event was held in Brussels. The goal of Apimondia has always been to promote beekeeping, exchange scientific knowledge and develop innovation in the industry. Today, this organization brings together members from over 80 countries, making its congress the largest forum for beekeepers, scientists and producers from all over the world.
Every two years, Apimondia attracts thousands of participants who come together to discuss bee protection, sustainable beekeeping and new technologies. Copenhagen, as the host of this year's edition, aims to highlight the role of bees in ecosystems and the impact of climate change on their populations.
History of the company's participation in the congress
The LYSON Beekeeping Company has been actively participating in Apimondia congresses for many years, promoting Polish beekeeping and modern technologies. The company's history at Apimondia began more than two decades ago, when it presented its innovative equipment for the first time at the congress in Dublin in 2005. Since then, during the next 10 editions of the event, the company has submitted its innovative products in competitions organized as part of the congress and won a total of 39 medals! Among these awards, the most significant and memorable were gold discs for a honey extractor that is adapted to people with disabilities, an educational beehive that wins the hearts of educators around the world, and a honey dispenser. Our efforts put into the visual design of the stand were also awarded twice with a gold medal.
