It is a flat plate with thickened edges. Large round ventilation holes are located in the plane of the crown board. Plastic "spiders" are placed in these holes or they are closed with tight polystyrene stoppers.

The crown board in polystyrene beehive is the most important element through which the ventilation of the bee nest is carried out. The amount of air exchange is managed by closing or opening a certain number of holes in the plane of the crown board.

Through the round holes in the crown board, you can feed bees with syrup or invert using twist jars. For this purpose, on the "spider veins" placed in the holes of the crown board, the jars are lined with pitted caps (upside down).
