Construction of the body feeder
The Dadant 6-frame body feeder is mostly made of hardened polystyrene, which performs an insulating function. It acts as a heat shield, keeping the internal temperature stable and protecting the bees from adverse weather conditions.
The body feeder is designed with ease of use in mind. Bees can access the syrup through an opening at the bottom of the feeder, making it easier for them to take food efficiently.
The mechanism of operation is based on the natural instinct of bees to collect food. The bees enter the feeder, collect the food, and then return with it to the nest, which promotes the efficient distribution of food in the bee colony.

Supporting the bee colony in winter conditions
