LYSON at the 48th Apimondia Congress in Chile!
We are pleased to announce that we will be present at the 48th Apimondia Congress of the International Federation of Beekeepers’ Associations in Chile from 4 to 8 September 2023. During the event, we will present our new products and innovative solutions for beekeepers. We hope that our phenomenal stand will again be one of the busiest stands at the fair.
Apimondia, also known as the International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations, promotes the scientific, environmental, social and economic development of beekeeping worldwide and supports cooperation between beekeepers' associations, scientific institutions and individuals involved in beekeeping.
The term "Apimondia" is a combination of "api"," referring to honey bees, and "mondia"," meaning the world. Apimondia brings together 81 national beekeeping associations around the world (2017) and is based in Rome. Since 1897, Apimondia has organised biennial beekeeping congresses hosted by different countries. Older beekeepers still remember Apimondia, held in Warsaw in 1987, where the 31st congress was held with over 2,500 participants from 47 countries.
During the last edition - 47th Apimondia World Beekeeping Congress, the Lyson Group won 12 medals! 6 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze. We competed in our categories against Australia, USA, Great Britain, Slovakia, Hungary, China and Germany. The Apikultura Foundation won three gold medals: for educational book for children "Once upon a time in an apiary...", an educational hive and beekeeping photography. The "Pasieka" publishing house was awarded a bronze medal for its bimonthly magazine of the same title and a silver medal for its scientific book on the anatomy of the honeybee. In the category of cosmetics based on bee products, the Honey Therapy line received a gold medal for its scrubbing soap and a silver medal each for its body butter and rose soap with propolis. A beeswax candle in the shape of a rose was also awarded a bronze medal. The unique honey display impressed the jury, winning gold. Prizes were also awarded for albums on beekeeping topics. Here the gold went to the touching item "My life - my apiary" and silver for the album with artistically arranged photos of jewelry "Bee & Love" by the Apikultura Foundation project.
This tremendous success and the record number of medals motivate us to continue working on improving our products, devising apiary innovations and promoting Poland in the world of beekeeping.
